Another simple recipe packed with flavor and goodness, garlic lemon green beans!! I think green beans are one of my favorite vegetables! I also love that they’re high in fiber like a bean, but packed with vitamins and minerals like a veggie! Again, I bulk meal prep so I will make enough to last a few days but if you want to make a smaller serving, be my guest! I don’t have specific measuring for this quick dish, just add as much {or as little} as you want!
Here we go, what you need:
- 2 lb green beans
- Minced garlic
- Onion powder
- Cooking oil
- Salt
- Pepper
- Fresh lemon
Heat a skillet to medium heat with cooking oil and add in you green beans, minced garlic (about 4 cloves – I LOVE garlic) a pinch of salt, cover with cracked pepper and let it cook for 10 mins remembering to stir frequently. About 2 minutes before they’re done, squeeze a fresh lemon over the top and continue to stir. Guess what, now you’re complete! This is a great side dish to have with chicken, steak or pork chops!
